As many of you have heard Alithiel, author of 'Shadows of the Past' was killed in a car accident on December 27, 2002. I had asked for permission to host that wonderful story but never heard back from her.

I have no intention of posting her fic without permission but have chosen to honor her by adding this link to her story on MediaMiner. If ever MediaMiner fails or Alithiel's fic is otherwise lost - I will only then post it from my files.

Below is the link to 'Shadows of the Past' - and the email she submitted with chapter 16. This fic will never be finished now but should not be disgarded. Please read it and remember a creative young writer.

"Well, ladies and gents, here it is at long last. I would like to thank
everyone who has remained a patient (and impatient) fan through all of this
nonsense. Chapter Seventeen will be the last chapter, though there will be
an eplilogue, and I don't anticipate the wait for that to be nearly as long.
I'm rather excited now that it's wrapping up. Anyway, I hope you enjoy
this part, and that maybe the wait was just a little bit worth it."
