Want, Need, Desire

Goku struggled with sensations as he slowly awoke. Where was he? The last thing he knew, he'd been sparring with Vejita. The other Saiyan had suddenly jumped to SSJ Level 3 and attacked him, overwhelming him and knocking him out, not allowing him the time to power up. But dirt and rock of their practice field wasn't nearly this soft... More sensations came to him as the haze of unconsciousness receded, like that his arms were extended over his head, which was also resting on something soft. A pillow? In the middle of their training ground? He slowly realized he was gazing up at a wooden ceiling with skylights.

"So the sleeper finally awakens."

The voice came from his left, and he saw Vejita leaning against the wall next to the window, head down, arms crossed. Typical stance for him.

"Oh, hey Vejita. How'd –" his sentence abruptly stopped as he noticed his arms were restrained above his head. He tilted his head back to look. Two wide bands circled his wrists, each chained to one corner of the bed. He tensed, testing their strength. Wait, BED??? He immediately looked down at himself noticing he was shirtless, but still had his pants on. And he was indeed chained to a bed. His gaze next settled on Vejita.

"I don't suggest you try to break those chains, Kakarott. The metal they are made of was developed on another planet. I had to power up to Super Saiyan to break it." A smirk settled over the Prince's face. "And I don't intend on letting you get that far."

Goku's eyes widened as Vejita looked down at him, lust evident in that dark gaze. Fear started to creep into his mind. Did Vejita plan to exact revenge on him like this, when he was tied up and helpless, slowly killing him? No. Vejita wouldn't do that.

Would he?

"It has always enraged me that you were better than I. That you dared to exceed me, the Prince of all Saiyans, in power, in deed. That it was you who was able to exact revenge for our people by killing Freiza, and in so doing being the first of our race in thousands of years to attain the level of Super Saiyan. Over the years and knowing you when we bond into Vegetto, I have come to accept that you will exceed me in battle. But my pride has not accepted it. It rages and seethes inside me; I am the Prince and a Super-Elite, therefore it is I who should be the stronger. I should be able to defeat you. All I've ever wanted was to be the strongest, and you ripped that dream away, Kakarott."

Goku breathed softly, watching the Prince through his monologue, feeling chills run through his body at the last words. But Vejita never moved. Never looked up, never even shifted his gaze. And that unnerved him more than the words, because he had no clue as to what the prince was actually thinking. His body stayed carefully relaxed, his tail-tail?- wrapped comfortably around his waist. His eyes, though boring right into him, might as well have been polished obsidian spheres for all the emotion they told him.

"Over the years we have continued to fight. It has soothed and fulfilled, seeing us both past the deaths of our mates as well as the births of our grandchildren and great grandchildren. I have found that I need to fight you, need to be pushed to my limit, and that you are the only one able to fulfill that need. You are the only one left who truly understands the desire to fight, the need to be pushed. It is the only thing that has allowed me to attain the level of a Super Saiyan and move on to find the higher levels, three, four, and even a fifth level beyond what we have already attained. It was hard to admit to myself—it is infinitely harder to tell you that... I need you. I need to fight, to fuse, I need the challenge you present."

Silence descended in the room as Vejita paused. Goku's eyes widened and he could only stare as the other spoke. Vejita... needed him? And he was actually admitting it? There was something wrong. There had to be something else. And as the veil in Vejita's gaze that had been hiding his emotions lifted, he saw that there was. He saw the want and need Vejita had spoken of, as well as another emotion he couldn't decipher, but the Prince quickly named for him as he continued.

"And recently I realized that not only was there the want, the need to fight you, there was the desire to fight. The desire to fight you, for it was only you who could fulfill me. But that desire expanded. It was not only the desire to fight you, it was the desire to see you, to simply be around you, the desire to feel your presence. It was then that I realized I did not just desire to be around you. I desired you." He pushed away from the wall and walked toward the bed, his eyes never leaving Goku's. He dropped one hand to tangle it in Goku's unruly mane, letting it run through the ebony strands before wandering down to gently stroke the side of his face. "Because I am still a Prince, and what I want, I get, what I need is provided, and what I desire," he smirked, bringing his face close to Goku's, their noses almost touching, "is mine to be taken."

Goku felt a chill run through his body at Vejita's last words, as his hand grazed over his neck and down his bare chest. Not only did Vejita need him, he desired him as well? It was almost too much for him to handle. But here he was, chained to the bed being told this and touched with such want...

"Vejita?" he whispered, his eyes filled with wonder and confusion.

"There was one thing I always wondered about, though," he continued. "You were always so strong around everyone, but when you were around that shrieking harpy you called a wife you were as timid and submissive as a catholic schoolgirl. Why? The sex, when you got it, couldn't have been that good..."

Goku blushed. "That's just the way she was... I didn't want to change her so I let her do what she wanted."

"And I suppose that goes for everyone, then? But now that I think on it, when did you ever really try to change me?" The last question was quiet, as though to himself. Again, he ran his hand over Goku's chest. "You are a perfect mate. Physically stronger than any other known, and yet so submissive in character. But I wonder... Does your nature haunt you sometimes? Does it make you wild, ruthless, dominant? Does it make you crave blood?"

Goku's eyes widened at the last question and Vejita smirked.

"So it does... The gentle Kakarott has a wild side, one that craves to hunt and possess, one that craves to drink of the blood of his mate." His smirk widened as Goku looked away, as if to avoid the memory of those very desires.

"Listen to me, Kakarott," Vejita said, taking his chin in his hand and making him look at him. "No matter if you were raised and spent your entire life on this Earth. You are still Saiyan. You still have instincts, muted though they may be, and they are not something easily denied. That woman of yours didn't understand-it scared her, and so she reacted with anger, ranting and screaming and denying you and making you deny yourself."

Goku shifted his eyes away at the memories as Vejita told him what happened between him and Chichi as if he'd read his mind.

Vejita shook Goku's chin slightly, making him look back up at him. "But I do understand, Kakarott, for I have those same instincts, that same nature. I wish to take you as my lifemate. You are suitable—no, not suitable, you are perfect. I wish to claim you, but I want to see that wild, ruthless side, I want to see you fight for dominance in the pairing, even though you will lose because you are so very submissive. If you crave blood, then drink it, for I will surely drink yours." The lust in Vejita's eyes grew, and Goku's eyes mirrored it as Vejita's words rang in his ears, taunting, teasing that Saiyan side into view.

'Blood...' The thought excited and scared him at the same time. Vejita wouldn't shun him, yell and scream at him for showing even the slightest hints of instincts; in fact, he was encouraging them. That little, truly Saiyan voice inside his head howled and panted in lust at the prospect of tasting his mate's blood. But did he really want the Saiyan Prince as his mate? They had been becoming closer than ever the last several years, their exceedingly long Saiyan lives separating them from the rest of the world, even their own families. He had to admit, it unnerved him sometimes to go visit his sons and see them appear older or the same age he was. But did this closeness and friendship with Vejita spill over to the category of love? He admitted he had had some feelings toward the Prince, but refused to explore them for fear of ruining their friendship or having to bear such a burden in silence. But here he was now, and Vejita obviously desired him. It seemed as though he no longer had a choice in the matter. But the awakened Saiyan in his head screamed for a mate's blood, and it did not deny his feelings toward the Prince. It caused to amplify them, bringing these unexplored emotions into minute detail. He had longed for such a close companion for a very long time now, but had always played the happy fool around Vejita, around everyone, really, afraid of something. But now it was spread before him, the soft pressure of the cuffs around his wrists a current reminder of that. Ah... his mind was running in circles, and now his Earth-raised self was supporting the Saiyan side! He gave up trying to think any more.

So distracted was Goku with his own thoughts that he did not notice Vejita pull out a jar of dark blue gel from the bedside table until his left leg was thrown over his right, twisting his hips so his lower half was on it's side. Dipping a fingertip into the gel, Vejita lowered the hem of Goku's pants until he could see his tail spot.

"This was one of Bulma's last creations," Vejita said quietly as he rubbed the gel onto Goku's tail spot. Goku gasped and arched at the touch, but the hand on his hip prevented him from rolling onto his back again. "She managed to concentrate the fluid used in the regeneration tanks down to a gel, many times more powerful, but still only as harmful to the skin as water. I finally tried it myself, as you can see. It is the only way to undo the surgical removal of a tail. But there are two reasons to have a tail. The first and foremost is strength. That you know already. The second is one you have probably never experienced. It is also a highly erogenous zone. There can be intense pain caused, but works the same way for extreme pleasure with a gentler touch. You felt a portion of that pleasure a moment ago. But that sensation is multiplied ten-fold on the tail itself." He smirked at Goku's wide-eyed expression, and waited.
