Santa Baby

By katlynne

Vegeta growled as he stuffed another pillow down the front of his pants before tying them tight. How did he let the woman talk him into playing something as ridiculous as Santa Claus at the Capsule Corp Christmas party? One minute he was eating dinner, just Bulma, her current boyfriend, Goku and himself, when she opened her mouth and asked him. Goku had looked at him with some unknown emotion in his eyes and Vegeta had been lost. Next thing he knew, Bulma showed up in his rooms and dropped off this stupid red outfit.

Pulling on the red coat with white fake fur trim, Vegeta couldn't help grumble to himself under his breath. All this fuss for a bunch of brats that he didn't know other than his son and Goten. Vegeta wouldn't have minded dressing up if it had been just for those two, but CC boasted twenty-nine other children under the age of ten. It made you wonder if the workers had way too much free time on their hands.

Even as he was putting the finishing touches to his wig and make-up, Vegeta could hear Goku enter their private rooms by way of the side door. The scent of pine accompanied the big saiyan and Vegeta wondered what he was doing. Pulling on a floppy red hat that finished off his outfit, the prince went to see what his mate was up to.

~

Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, for me
I've been an awful good girl
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight

~

Goku hummed along to the Christmas music he had put on the cd player as he trimmed the tree he had picked out. He was going to enjoy this first holiday with Vegeta, even if he had to do everything by himself. Goku knew that his royal mate didn't know what human celebrations were all about, but maybe he could learn if he was shown. Goku knew that this time of year was a celebration of life, love, family and giving, all things Vegeta knew about separately, so it shouldn't be hard for him to understand them together.

Standing back to run a critical eye over the placement of the lights on the tree, Goku started singing along with the music. He didn't notice Vegeta standing in the doorway, or when he left.

~

Santa baby, an out-of-space convertible too, light blue
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight

~

Vegeta sat on the end of the bed, thinking about the song Goku was singing. Did he really want those material things? What exactly would he do with them? Vegeta had never thought about gifts for his mate, just taking it as a given that he would be the one to get things. He knew that Goku had picked out some presents for him, but he hadn't gotten anything for the gentle soul that he had claimed.

Vegeta wondered how selfish he could be. Goku had given up everything to be with him. A wife, a home, friends... So many things and what did he get in return? A man who snarled at him, refused to do some of the things he was asked to do, even going days without seeing his sons. Everything given up just for the honor of being Vegeta's mate. The prince closed his eyes and did a little soul searching.

Could he change? That was the heart of the matter. Vegeta wondered if he had it in him to be the person he knew Goku deserved. Could he go from snapping and snarling at everybody like a dog defending his territory to somebody who got along? How hard could it be? Goku did it and he wasn't the sharpest pencil in the box.

~

Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be oh so good
If you'd check off my Christmas list
Boo doo bee doo

~

Goku grinned as he placed another ball on the tree. He'd spent a little extra to get the glass ornaments, but they looked great and gave the effect he wanted. Flicking the shining globe lightly, he enjoyed the little ping. Yes, this tree showed his emotions as well as the joy of the seasons. It was all crystals and shining lights, all sparkling and new, just like the last year he had spent with Vegeta.

~

Santa honey, I wanna yacht and really that's
Not a lot
I've been an angel all year
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight

~

Vegeta went to the door again and watched as Goku put the little stars and glittering balls on the Christmas tree. He was still singing along with the cd that was playing. Glancing at the clock on the bedside table, Vegeta made a decision. Picking up the phone, he quickly made a call, holding the receiver away from his ear at one point when Bulma got shrill.

Quickly he shed the costume of Santa Claus and dressed in more mundane clothes. Taking another long look at his mate and judging it would be a while before he was missed, Vegeta left their apartment at the Capsule Corp complex and headed toward one of the biggest battles of his life. (Or so Vegeta thought.)

Vegeta was going to... The Mall... On Christmas Eve.

~

Santa cutie, there's one thing I really do need, the deed
To a platinum mine
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight

~

"Oooo! I'm going to kill that... that... monkey!" Bulma shouted as she slammed the phone down.

White gloved hands smoothed over her shoulders. "What's the problem?" A gentle voice sounded in Bulma's ear.

Bulma sighed, turning to lean her head against a red clad shoulder. "Vegeta... He said something came up and he couldn't make the party."

Warm laughter floated in the air. "I thought that was why I was playing dress up."

Bulma pulled back and grinned up at the man dressed as Santa. "I've had to think up more contingency plans since living with Vegeta. He never does what I need him to. Good thing we didn't give him the sack of presents."

~

Goku was sleeping when Vegeta finally made it home. The prince stopped to look in on his mate, taking note of the hitches in Goku's breathing that told of his emotional upheaval. Vegeta wondered at that, but figured he would get the story out of his mate tomorrow.

Taking the armload of brightly wrapped packages into the sitting room, Vegeta paused to look over the tree. It was a little on the short side, but glittered even with the lights off. Already there were presents under it, enough to let Vegeta know that Goku was expecting company the next day.

Slipping boxes behind the tree, Vegeta smirked to himself. He had fought to find the right gifts for Trunks, Goten, Gohan and even Bulma. What had taken up most of his evening was hunting just the right present for his mate. With that song still creeping around the corners of his mind, Vegeta had looked in almost every store in the mall. He had finally found what he was looking for in a small store stuck in among the big named places, one that looked like it was going to be out of business in the next year.

Sighing with satisfaction as he stood back and surveyed his handy work, Vegeta felt pleased. He knew that one gift or even one hundred wasn't going to be enough to make up for all the BS he put Goku through. He wasn't good with words, so Vegeta was going to have to show his mate how much he meant to him. He was going to have to be... nice tomorrow, even to Bulma and yes, Chichi if she showed up. Vegeta closed his eyes for a second and prayed for strength.

Opening his eyes, Vegeta turned from the picturesque image of the tree with all it's presents to the dark hole of the open doorway to the bedroom. Now he just needed to sneak in, undress and manage to craw into bed without waking Goku.

Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you
Let's see if you believe in me
Boo doo bee doo

Goku buried his nose in the hair behind Vegeta's ear and purred at the strong scent there. His own throat vibrating woke him enough to realize that strong arms were holding him and Vegeta was sleeping peacefully. Goku sighed, settling deeper against the pillows.

The party had been a carnival ride of emotions. Goku had gone alone after hunting for Santa Vegeta and not finding him. Only the red suit, wig and fake beard was in their bedroom where Vegeta had been changing only moments before. Goku had been so worried about his royal mate's physical and emotional well being that he didn't remember going down to greet the revelers.

Everything had been going well at the party, that is until Chichi had shown up with Gohan and Goten. Goku's youngest had made a beeline for Trunks and food leaving his father to face a teen with an overload of attitude and an angry ex-wife. Goku never had been any good with people when they were mad at him or disappointed in him, so he had tried to escape. He had turned around and rammed into the huge Christmas tree Bulma had sitting in the middle of the room, knocking it over and stepping on a few of the antique decorations.

That had started Bulma off, her temper unleashed into a tirade of epic proportions. She had blamed Goku for everything from a missing Vegeta to a lack of snow. Goku wasn't sure how he could be the force of nature she had claimed him to be, but it didn't seem to matter to Bulma that he was totally confused. It wasn't until she started to blame him for her latest experiment going awry that Gohan had stepped in and backed her off.

Chichi had actually helped him up and apologized for acting like the shrew that Vegeta claimed she was. Goku was still off balance from his son defending him; his ex-wife's words seemed to knock him off his feet again. He had landed on his tail, and several glass Christmas balls, and that earned him a trip to Bulma's medical station for a few stitches.

Now the bandaged area on his tail was starting to bother Goku. The stitches itched, the glue from the tape felt funny and the weight of the bandage made it feel like somebody was tugging it. Goku shifted again and realized that Vegeta's tail was also wrapped around his. On other nights, in other circumstances, Goku would enjoy having his mate hanging on him, but tonight it felt more threatening than he could stand. With a sharp tug, Goku freed his tail, but woke Vegeta in the process.

~

Vegeta glared at Goku as he sat on the floor after being dumped there. "What's your problem?"

Goku blushed; he hadn't meant to be so violent. "Sorry. I just have a sore tail."

"What?" Vegeta asked, crawling back into the bed and searching out Goku's tail to take a look. "Who did this to your tail? They used way too much gauze and tape." Vegeta started to gently pull the bandage from the dark fur.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Vegeta!" Goku whined.

"Hold still. I'll be right back." Vegeta ordered, getting up and going into the bathroom.

The sound of cabinet doors opening and closing was the only clue to what he was up to. Coming back into the bedroom, Vegeta bounced on the bed before taking hold of Goku's tail and pressing a large Band-Aid over the stitches.

"Now then, it's late so I think we should get what sleep we can before the brats show up." Vegeta said before lying back, snuggling into Goku's side and promptly going back to sleep.

Goku stared at his mate, a little confused... a lot confused at Vegeta's behavior. Shrugging, he wondered how much Christmas cheer Vegeta had drunk and if he would have a killer hangover in the morning. With a sigh, Goku did the only thing he could think to do. He grabbed the covers and pulled them over the both of them as he settled into Vegeta's embrace. Goku giggled to himself, wondering if Bulma knew that Vegeta got clingy when he was drunk.

~

Christmas morning dawned gray and brooding, kind of like Vegeta's mood. He had the feeling he had messed up last night some how, but wasn't sure what he had done. Standing in the small kitchenette, Vegeta sipped his coffee and waited.

Goku walked into the room, moving over to Vegeta for his good morning kiss. The prince had learned over the year that this was an important start to Goku's day and didn't make a fuss about it like he normally did. Setting his mug down, Vegeta held on when Goku would have turned away, pulling the big saiyan's head down for a deeper melding of lips and tongue.

With a gasp, Goku came up for air and looked a little dazed. Vegeta smirked, picking up his mug and finishing up his coffee, pleased with himself. "Don't stand around all morning, Kakarrot. We're expected down stairs for breakfast and you know how the woman's mother gets upset if we aren't there to stuff."

~

Santa baby, I'm filling my stocking with a duplex, and checks
Sign your 'X' on the line
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight

~

Goku growled in annoyance. Vegeta had disappeared, again. They had finished eating the huge breakfast Bulma's mother had made and were just sitting down in the living room to watch the kids unwrap presents. Goku had turned to say something to his mate and poof, no Vegeta. If Goku didn't know better he would have sworn that Vegeta had managed to learn Instant Transmission and was using it to drive everybody crazy.

"Dad... Hey Dad... DAD!" Goten shouted in Goku's ear.

"What?!" Goku shouted back, startling everybody in the room.

Goten giggled nervously, but held a box out to his father. "Look what I got from Bulma and Trunks!"

Goku looked at the toy, not really seeing it. "That's nice Goten, be sure to thank them." He said off hand.

"Goku, he did already. What's wrong with you?" Bulma asked. "Is it Vegeta? Did he hurt you or something?"

"Huh? Oh... No, nothing like that. I just wondered where he went."

Bulma made a rude noise. "He's just doing what he always does when there is a gathering."

Just as Goku was going to give Bulma a piece of his mind there was a loud noise in the wall. They all looked over where the fireplace was, seeing ash fall from the chimney... and a brown tail. Goku groaned, mystery solved, Vegeta was trying to play Santa.

"Dad, am I mistaken or is Vegeta stuck in the chimney?" Gohan asked.

Goku and Goten gave the normally intelligent teen identical looks, then turned to each other. Goku's lip twitched, then Goten snorted. By the time they had dissolved into gales of laughter, Bulma, Trunks, Gohan and Bulma's parents had been caught in the contagious wave of hilarity.

"You better not be laughing at me, Kakarrot!" Vegeta muffled voice came from behind the brick.

Goku moved over to the fireplace. Kneeling on the hearth, he looked up the chimney. "Vegeta... (snort) I'm sorry... (coughgigglecough) Why are you in there and how did you get stuck? (giggle)" Goku tried, really tried not to let his mirth have free reign.

Vegeta sighed, then coughed. "I was trying to do something nice for the brats. You going to help me out of here or do I have to blast my way out?"

"We could always start a fire. He'd either get out or we'd have smoked monkey for lunch." Bulma said, trying to keep from laughing at the look of horror on Goku's face. Ahh... Sometimes revenge was sweet.

"Hey, I heard that, Woman! Keep your fires to yourself. You were always good at that when we were together." Vegeta shouted.

Well... maybe revenge wasn't that sweet. Bulma blushed and looked over her shoulder at her new boyfriend, hoping he hadn't heard.

Goku sighed, sick of their bickering already and it wasn't even past ten in the morning. Reaching up the chimney, the big saiyan snagged the edge of some kind of dark looking material and shook. In a shower of ash and soot the bag tore and brightly wrapped presents fell to the hearth, along with a very dirty saiyan prince. Bulma squealed moving back from the fireplace fast as the boys rushed forwards, ending with them all colliding and falling to a heap on the floor.

Vegeta had showered and changed, Bulma and the boys had been picked up and tended to, and Goku was standing guard over the presents in the fireplace. Everybody was back in the living room. A few bruises more than they first started out with, but they all were waiting on the saiyan prince.

Vegeta walked over to Goku, running his fingers over strong, crossed arms and gifting him with a rare smile. Reaching behind Goku, Vegeta turned to the group and handed the presents to Bulma to hand out. The boys, even Gohan were soon shouting to each other over what Vegeta had brought them.

"Thanks Vegeta!" "Thanks Father!" The demi-saiyans chorused.

Goku rubbed Vegeta's back above his tail. The prince looked down and spied the last present, the one for Goku. Leaning down, Vegeta picked the small box up and handed it to his mate.

Goku looked at the small box, then at Vegeta before tearing into the paper. Tossing the crumpled mass over his shoulder, Goku opened the small velvet gift to find a delicate looking filigree ring, too big for his finger.

"What is it?" Goku asked Vegeta. Bulma came over to see what was up.

"The shopkeeper said humans used this for long hair." Vegeta blushed. "I thought you might wear it on your tail."

"Oooo... Vegeta, is this a proposal?" Bulma crowed. "You never bought me a ring." She reached for the box, but pulled back when Goku growled at her. "Er... Yeah, your's." Bulma held up her hands for peace.

Vegeta laughed at the look on her face. "Priceless." Turning to Goku he got his nod, then took the ring and slipped it on the dark tail, careful of the bandage.

Goku tried to get a better look at his new ornament, ending up spinning around a few times. Vegeta sighed, shook his head and gave his mate a long suffering gaze as he reached over and grabbed hold of Goku's tail so he could get a look at it.

Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring
I don't mean a phone

~

Later that night, the full-blooded saiyans lay in bed, one that tilted, the mattress sliding off the box spring. The blankets, sheets and pillows were tossed to the dark corners of the room. Both were panting from their exertions and neither could see straight.

Goku thought Vegeta had gone a little over board. He knew he had bites all over, the prince's teeth marks on his chest, his stomach, his cock, his balls, and even one on each ass cheek. It seemed to Goku that the light reflected off that ring on his tail had driven Vegeta to stake his claim in obvious bloody prints. Either that or he had turned into a vampire behind their backs.

Then Vegeta had mounted him and rode him into submission. Goku ran his fingers through the cum that was cooling on his chest and stomach.

Vegeta watched Goku play with the cream spread over his front. "What are you doing?"

"Checking to see if this is white-ish or grayish." Goku said.

Vegeta arched an eyebrow. He knew he was going to hate himself, but he could help the word that popped out. "Why?"

Goku gave Vegeta a serious look. "I think you fucked my brains out."

Vegeta snorted, then gave in and let out a hoot of laughter, holding his stomach as the hysterical sound came from him. This laughing business came easier each time he did it and it really felt good.

By the time Vegeta realized Goku had gotten up, the pillow the big saiyan had fetched was on the way down. Normally, the assault of a feather filled bag hitting him repeatedly in the face would have pissed Vegeta off, but this time it just made him laugh louder.

Goku couldn't hold onto his anger. His mate was becoming more relaxed, enjoying life instead of just living. He was letting himself show emotions, and for Vegeta that was a big step forward. Goku couldn't be upset with him, not with the totally romantic thing he had done by giving him that ring.

Giving his own snort, Goku rolled Vegeta onto his stomach. "Ok Santa Baby, you've been in my chimney, now it's my turn."

Vegeta laughed, but ended up moaning as Goku licked the base of his tail and proceeded to make his own marks on the royal hide.
