It was that time of year again that the blossoms on the trees were starting to permeate the air with the scents of cherry, apple, peach, and orange. The bees were flying around in a nectar induced feeding frenzy, the need to sip from each bloom too tempting for their little insect brains to resist. The days were getting longer, the nights not so cold. Everybody was shedding the layers of winter wool for softer pallets of pastel cotton. In other words, spring had sprung and life was renewing itself for another year.
Once the nights were long enough, Bulma deemed it was time for their annual meeting and bar-b-cue of the Z warriors. It was a time they got together, some forced, some bribed, so they could reconnect. A chance for the warriors to see how much the others had improved, and stuff themselves on the food and drinks CC would supply.
For once, Bulma didn't need to phone Goku. At the moment her longest and dearest friend was trying to once again defeat Vegeta, this time on who could eat the most. Goku was ahead by three bowls of noodles, and Vegeta was showing signs of weakening. Bulma leaned on the doorway to the kitchen, grinning at the thought that they never had to worry about leftovers rotting into science projects in the refrigerator. For that to happen, the saiyans had to actually leave some innocent food left over.
"Ok, ok, I concede. Doesn't that wife of yours feed you?" Vegeta growled tossing his fork down and Goku chowed down the last sandwich.
Goku shook his head as he swallowed. "Actually, she's mad you called me over to spar. This is the first I've eaten in two days."
Vegeta buried his face in his hands and moaned. "I should have known something was up when you called this challenge."
Goku grinned, then looked over his shoulder at Bulma who was giggling lightly behind her hand. "Hey Bulma. How are you today?"
"Better than Vegeta." Bulma said, walking the rest of the way into the kitchen. "Did you leave any food or do I need to call the delivery man from the grocery?"
Vegeta growled. "I already called them before we cleaned out the ice box."
Goku leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes as he sucked on a chocolate covered strawberry. Dark and decadent, the treat was one he wouldn't have normally indulged in because of the cost, but dearly loved. Loud purring came from him, making Bulma blink and Vegeta smirk.
"Ahem... Goku, do you think Chichi and Goten could get away next weekend? I want to have a get together and that's good for everybody else." Bulma asked.
Goku blinked open his eyes and licked the last of the chocolate off his fingers. "Um... I can ask. I don't think there is anything going on then." Goku looked over at Vegeta with a question in his eyes.
"Oh no... You are not dragging me into all that crap. If those people are coming here, I'm going to find someplace else to be."
Goku sighed. "Please Vegeta?"
"No. Absolutely not." Vegeta gave a warning growl.
"Please?" Goku leaned his head down and looked at Vegeta from under his bangs.
"No, damn it!" Vegeta snarled.
Bulma watched fascinated, as Goku's eyes seemed to grow huge and liquid. There was a trilling purr, then a low whine. She would never figure Goku for one to sway Vegeta this way, but there he was.
"Please, Vegeta?" Goku whined.
Vegeta's lips pulled back and he showed his fangs. "I said no."
Goku's bottom lip trembled. "But... Please?"
Vegeta sighed. "Ok, ok... Just stop the show. But you'll owe me, big time."
And just like that, Goku's demeanor changed. He grinned, tossing his hair back out of his eyes. The purr stopped and he seemed to bounce a bit in his chair. Bulma gave a smirk of her own. Sex kitten to court jester in seconds flat. Nobody else she knew of could have pulled it off. Nobody else would have dared to manipulate Vegeta in such a way, anyway. And... Vegeta knew exactly what Goku had done.
'Wait a minute, back the bus up. Goku as a sex kitten? Where had that come from?' Bulma thought. 'Thinking of Goku as Vegeta's sex toy was like thinking the Smurfs were nothing more than little blue gay guys in tight white bell bottom pants. Ack!' The image of tiny blue bodies in a pile writhing on the floor for Smurfette's entertainment almost made Bulma trip.
"Woman, I know that look. Get your mind out of your pornographic imagination and get the door. Kakarrot and I are going to spar." Vegeta snapped.
Bulma almost screamed at Vegeta's interruption of her daydream, but managed to only make a tiny squeak. Turning quickly, she took a deep breath before opening the back door, hoping her face wasn't as red as it felt. She didn't even notice that Vegeta and Goku left the kitchen through the door that would lead deeper into the living quarters, instead of the back door that would lead to the outside.
"Delivery for Capsule Corp from Drug and Grocery. Where can I set the boxes down?" A big man asked Bulma as she stood there in the doorway.
"Um..." Not her brightest comeback. "Right this way." Bulma stepped back and let the men carry in box after box of foodstuffs.
It took a while, but eventually the truck was unloaded and the pantry, 'fridge and freezer were filled. Vegeta had been very thorough. Bulma was sure her mother would faint with delight at some of the things he had ordered for the older woman to cook.
"If you could sign this?" The man asked, holding a clipboard out to Bulma.
Reading over the invoice quickly, Bulma signed where the man indicated. He and his fellow workers doffed their caps to her before leaving the kitchen in blessed quiet. Bulma glanced around and saw that even the dishes that Goku and Vegeta had used were cleaned and put away.
"Wonder where those two went and when they found time to wash the dishes?" Bulma asked herself, then shook her head, thinking she needed to get back to work.

Goku rested on his back, Vegeta lying on his chest, running fingers through the cooling seed on the flat stomach below him. "I'm going to tell them at the gathering." Goku said absently.
"Why? It's none of their business and could get you killed." Vegeta said, licking at his digits.
Goku pulled Vegeta's hand to his mouth and licked across his palm. "They won't kill me, you know they are too weak. I just think it's time they know."
Vegeta hummed. "I don't like it, but I know I can't stop you."
"We should at least tell Bulma and Chichi." Goku argued.
Vegeta rolled over. "Just be sure I'm there. I don't want to see you get hurt."
Goku smiled. That was the closet Vegeta had come to telling him he loved him in a long while. The big saiyan understood the prince, knew he liked to demonstrate his emotions instead of verbalizing them. It was easier; something Vegeta had learned when talking about something might get him killed.
"I can do that. It might be best because of the shock this will cause." Goku leaned up and kissed Vegeta. "I love you, my prince."
Vegeta smirked, eyes shining. "I know, my warrior."

The day of the get together dawned cloudy, but soon the sun burned that off, drying the dew that had gathered on the grass and leaves. Bulma supervised workers in the placement of tables and chairs, where she wanted to buffet to go, where the bar would be placed. A local man was carving ice sculptures, the slowly melting creations being set as centerpieces on several tables. Everything was just about ready when Trunks with Goten in tow showed up.
"Hi Mom. Anything Goten and I can do to help?" Trunks asked.
Bulma pushed her hair away from her face. "Yeah. Keep an eye on things while I go get cleaned up. Everybody should be here in about an hour."
"Gohan said that Videl and Pan wouldn't be able to make it. They had to go on tour with her dad." Goten piped up. "Gohan will be here though."
Bulma nodded then went inside. "Just like a saiyan. Show up for the free food even without your family with you. Probably sick of his own cooking."
Nothing much happened until the cars with the first arrivals showed up. Krillin and Eighteen came in one car, along with Marion, Roshi, and Oolong. Yamcha, Puar, and his current girlfriend parked next. Then Tien, Chouzu and Gohan landed, having flown since it was easier.
Chichi drove her car to CC and parked in the lot. Goku grinned as he got out, walked around the front and opened the door for her. She shook her head as she took the hand he held out to her, letting him help her from the car. Goku had been in a strange mood all day and Chichi didn't know what to make of it.
"Let's find you a seat in the shade, though you'll have to move later as the sun moves across the yard." Goku said, leading Chichi over to a table with an umbrella and holding a chair out for her. "What do you want to drink?"
"Goku, stop already. You're starting to worry me." Chichi said. "Go play with the guys. Bulma's on the way over here with a pitcher of something and I want to talk to her."
Goku gave a little laugh; turning to take the tray from Bulma before seating her with the same gallantry he had Chichi. "Ok, I'll go bug Vegeta. See what I have to do to pay him back for showing up." Goku paused to kiss Bulma on the cheek before loping off.
"What's with him?" Bulma asked, holding her cheek where Goku had kissed her.
"I have no idea, but he's been like this all morning. It's driving me daft." Chichi laughed.
Bulma shared her laugh and poured Chichi a drink. Passing it over, it wasn't long before they were deep in conversation, catching up with everything that had passed since the last time they had seen each other.

"Vegeeeeetaaaaa!" Goku called, looking around the GR where he could have sworn he had felt the prince's ki signature. "Come out, come out, wherever you are."
"Stop acting like a child and get down here. I need some help with this wire." Vegeta's grumpy voice sounded from behind the center consol.
Goku grinned, happily dropping to his knees and crawling over to where Vegeta had his head stuck in the machinery. "What's up?"
"Gravity got wobbly. A wire burned out and I needed to replace it." Vegeta said. "Hold these two while I get the other soldered together."
Goku held the two wires Vegeta indicated out of the way while the prince fixed the third to the motherboard. It wasn't strange to them that Vegeta could explain what he was doing and Goku understood. They had been around each other long enough to know what the other was capable of. The problem they did have, was living up to the impressions of the people around them.
Their family and friends all expected the saiyans to behave in certain ways. Vegeta was always arrogant, snobbish, nasty and smart. Goku was always happy, silly, easy going and innocent. Neither of them were those things, well, not just those things. Vegeta was quite capable of being cheerful and considerate, Goku to be cruel and cunning. People just didn't see it, or if they did, they passed it off as a trick of their mind or illness.
"Vegeta, you need to check..."
"Yes, I see. Can you move that..."
"Right, on it. How's that angle?"
"Good. I can get it."
"Maybe if we hook this here..."
"That will make it easier."
"Wait, wait, let me..."
"Hold on. There, can you get it?"
"Oh yeah, right there."
"What the hell is going on?"
Vegeta looked up at Goku and realized that they were almost inside the consol. He was on his back, Goku on one hand and his knees over him. The only thing that anybody coming in could see would be his feet sticking up under Goku's undulating ass. For a moment, both saiyan resisted the urge to laugh, but gave it up. Almost loosing the soldering iron, the wires and the solder, they erupted into peals of laughter.
"I don't think this is funny. What are you two up to?"
Goku glanced over his shoulder and saw Gohan flanked by Piccolo, Trunks and Goten standing in the doorway to the GR. Piccolo looked like he wanted to hurt somebody, namely Vegeta. Gohan and the boys looked more shocked than anything else.
"What we're doing is not bothering Bulma while she's talking by fixing the generators our selves. If you can't help, then leave." Vegeta said.
"Gee Dad, since when does fixing a machine mean you crawl all over Vegeta to do it?" Goten asked with a snicker.
Goku grinned down at Vegeta, then slowly moved off him, rubbing against the side of the older saiyan and making him purr. The others stared, unsure they were seeing or hearing what they were. Before they could manage to snap out of it, Goku made it to his feet and hauled Vegeta up with him.
Vegeta coughed, then glared at the four in the door. "What was so important you had to come looking for us?"
Trunks scuffed his foot on the floor. "Food's ready. We were told to find you and bring you outside."
"Oh, ok! Thanks. Come on, Vegeta, let's go raid the tables." Goku bounced, pulling Vegeta towards the door.
"Stupid... Idiot... Let go of my damn hand." Vegeta growled, pulling back.
Goku gave the ones in the door a smirk and let go of Vegeta's hand, making the prince fall on his ass. "If that's what you want." With a hoot of laughter, Goku plowed into Piccolo, tumbling out the door with him.
"Shit, Goku! Stop playing around!" Piccolo shouted.
Goten and Trunks laughed when Goku tossed the end of Piccolo's cape over his head and tied it so he couldn't see. Gohan even cracked a smile as he watched Piccolo fight with his cloak, trying to get a hold on Goku who wasn't even near him.
Vegeta shoved the demis out of the way. "Brats! Kakarrot is in the food and you're standing around watching the namek dance? Move it or loose it."
Goten, Trunks and Gohan moved out of the way, knowing better than to get between Vegeta, Goku and a table full of food. With an arm over both the younger boys' shoulders, Gohan led them to where the rest were standing around talking.
~
Vegeta and Goku were sitting at a table, cleared of the debris of their meal. Chichi and Bulma were sitting across from them, sipping at some fruity drinks with little umbrellas in them. Vegeta reached behind Goku and did something, making the big saiyan's eyes narrow and a loud purr to start from his muscled chest.
"What are you doing, Vegeta?" Bulma asked, fascinated by the pair.
"Yes, Vegeta, what are you doing to Goku?" Chichi asked.
"Why do people keep asking that? I'm relaxing, Kakarrot is relaxing, he just does it with more noise than I do." Vegeta sighed.
Goku leaned over and rested his head on Vegeta's shoulder, and instead of pushing him away; the prince just reached up and ran a hand through the bigger saiyan's hair. Chichi and Bulma choked. Goku smiled, nuzzling Vegeta's neck, and again he didn't do what was expected. Vegeta ran his tongue over Goku's eyebrows.
"Vegeta!" Bulma and Chichi shouted.
"What?" Vegeta said, then realized what was going on. "Shit!"
"Calm down, ladies. Just relax, hum?" Goku drowsily said.
"But he licked you! You're leaning on him." Bulma said in a loud whisper.
"And you're purring." Chichi said in the same tone.
Goku sighed and sat up. "I guess now is as good a time as any. We're mates, I like his touch, and purring is an automatic reaction to feeling pleasure."
Bulma waved her hand. "Wait a minute, you're going too fast."
"Yeah, what do you mean mates?" Chichi demanded.
"Woman, do you really think you can stand up to being fucked by a super saiyan? If we didn't hold back, you'd be dust. We can't get any relief with you, so we're basically your sex toys. We stay hard until you are finished, then either take care of it ourselves or wait until we see each other." Vegeta said, without any heat to his words.
Bulma and Chichi looked at each other, hearing the truth in Vegeta's words. "But it's cheating."
"Mating isn't like human marriage. He vowed to stay with you, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part. He's died twice. I think Kakarrot staying with you and not me should tell you something." Vegeta growled.
"Calm down, Vegeta. They're trying to understand and they aren't throwing things at us. We can talk this over like rational people and not be at each other's throats." Goku said, rubbing his hand over Vegeta's back.
"You're right, sorry. I promised I'd be an adult about this." Vegeta said back.
"Oh, Kami! You are together." Bulma whispered.
Chichi sat back in her chair and stared at Goku. "Are you leaving me?"
"Nope. We have an understanding. We stay where we are until your deaths. Then spend the rest of our lives together." Goku smiled.
"I still don't understand." Chichi said, rubbing at a spot of water on the table.
"Chichi, saiyans live a lot longer than humans. Look at them. They haven't aged a bit for all the time we've known them. We are starting to look like their older sisters." Bulma commented. "At least we know that they will be taken care of and won't be alone if something happens to us."
"There is that." Chichi said.
"And if something happens to me, Vegeta will keep an eye on you and the boys, just like if something happens to him, I'll take care of Bulma and their kids." Goku pointed out.
Suddenly Chichi started seeing the benefits of the arrangement. "Can I talk to Bulma alone, please?"
Goku smiled wider. "Sure, Honey. Come on, Vegeta, let's get back to work on your toy."
Vegeta punched Goku on the arm. "Come on, come on..." Vegeta mocked in a surprisingly good imitation of Goku. "That's all you ever say to me."
Bulma blinked. "Chichi, did Vegeta just make a joke?"
"Yes, I think so. It sounded like it." Chichi replied. "And since when does Goku use such big words?"
"Or think ahead like that agreement he and Vegeta have." Bulma sat back in her chair and gulped her drink. "I wonder how long this has been going on."
"It doesn't really matter. I think we really need to think this through as thoroughly as those two have." Chichi said. "You know, there are advantages to this whole deal."
"Hmm... Yes, I can see how it's changed them."
"Vegeta's taught Goku to at least eat more civilized. He didn't wolf down his food today and didn't talk with his mouth full."
"And Goku's taught Vegeta to be more careful how he says things. He's not nearly as caustic as he used to be. Plus Vegeta actually escorted me to an important dinner the other night."
"And the kids would be taken care of, no matter who was alive. There would be somebody here for the grandchildren and maybe the great grandchildren too."
Bulma looked at Chichi who looked back with the same expression on her face. "Damn saiyans. Always have to come out the winners." Bulma said before they started laughing.
~
"You got it yet, Vegeta?" Goku asked, back in the position he had been in before they had been interrupted.
"Just a little more that way... Yes, that's it. There you are." Vegeta said.
After that the consol was quickly put back to rights and Vegeta hit the master on the electrical box. Lights flashed all over the place, before settling down to a dim hue. Vegeta nodded, walked over to the controls and set the gravity to two hundred times Earth's. Faster than before, the generators hummed to life and they felt the pull, rising faster too.
"I think those corrections you suggested are going to work fine. This thing is running better than it has in years." Vegeta commented when he felt Goku's arms wrap around his waist.
Goku purred, running his face over Vegeta's hair. "I think everything will work out better. I don't feel any hostility from outside."
A banging at the GR's door interrupted anything Vegeta would have said. With a look of resignation, the saiyan prince hit the power down switch and listened to the generators slow to a stop. Goku sighed and with a last squeeze, left Vegeta loose so they could both turn and face their interlopers.
The door cracked open. "Is it safe to come in or are you indecent?" Bulma asked.
Goku chuckled. "Come ahead."
Bulma laughed, but Chichi harrumphed. "Goku, that is not funny."
Bulma shook her head as she pulled the dark haired woman into the room. "Lighten up, Chichi."
Chichi sighed. "Ok." With hesitant steps, she walked over to the saiyans and hugged Goku tight.
Bulma stood back and watched as Chichi, who was always more expressive of her emotions, let go of Goku and moved over to hug Vegeta just as tight. For a second Vegeta didn't know what to do with his hands, but then settled on patting Chichi on the shoulder. Goku grinned, bouncing a little on the balls of his feet. Bulma laughed, walking over and wrapping an arm around Goku's waist. Chichi finally let Vegeta go, stepping back and moving to stand beside Goku, matching Bulma by wrapping her own arm around her husband.
"We talked it over. I want to pack up the house and move into the city. Bulma has said she would give us a capsule house on CC property and I think that would be best. Goten will be closer to school and Trunks, and I'll get to visit with Videl and Pan more often." Chichi said, looking up at Goku.
"Vegeta?" Goku asked, receiving a nod. "Alright, I can handle that. Just don't get upset if we have to take off every once in a while."
"We'll work together to get a house for when you need space. It might be good for us all, a little breather from all our tempers." Bulma said.
"We'll try and give you advanced notice. I'll try and make it so one of us will be able to be here as escorts. I don't want either of you to leave the grounds without somebody with you." Vegeta said.
Chichi smiled. "That's so sweet, Vegeta."
Vegeta growled. "I am not sweet, Woman."
Bulma and Chichi laughed, then let go of Goku so they could leave them alone for a while. "By the way, Goku. I want you to tell me about this purring you do." Bulma said, looking over her shoulder at the saiyans.
"Bulma." Goku whined. "Purring isn't anything I can stop. It's automatic, like breathing and blinking. If I concentrate, I can make myself purr, but otherwise I do it in reaction to being relaxed and pleasantly stimulated."
Bulma blinked. "Must make blowjobs very interesting."
Chichi giggled while Vegeta started choking on air. Goku slapped him between the shoulder blades, trying not to fall over laughing. Bulma grinned, thinking laughter was a much nicer sound than yelling, glad that Goku and Vegeta had approached the whole thing the way they had.
