THIS! Has taken me TWO FARKING YEARS!
Yes, I really am that slack. XD
Which means it's been rewritten about 5 times, overhauled, inproved, edited, had parts deleted, new parts put in, been forgotten about...and so forth, if you write, you'll know what I mean @_-
So here it is! Ma offering! @_@ Sap and some OOCness ahead, not too much I think/hope!
As a note, I swear I wrote most of this before seeing Gravitation, and therefore, before seeing Shuuichi drive Yuki crackers! XD
Song: Insatiable by Darren Hayes, give it a listen!
Disclaimer: If I owned them, I would have done several official manga involving G&V humping till the cows come home, this hasn't happened, so no, I don't own them! And there would be Burori...lots of Burori @_@
Notes: I FINALLY GOT MY INSPIRATION! Bow down to Darren Hayes for the video remake! It gave me the inspiration for this fic to finally get off the ground! And then to PMS for making me finish the thing 2 years later ^^;;;
Thanks go to Lex for catching the symbol of doom so many times! (I found more!! @_@), lio for giving it a quick run through, and Kit for reading it after my last beta @_@ If there are any more mistakes, bah I say! BAH!
'When moonlight crawls along the street
Chasing away the summer heat
Footsteps outside somewhere below
The world revolves I've let it go'
Vegeta sprawled out beneath the thin sheets of his bed, glancing out the window at the dark sky and old town that lay beyond it. The light from the town and from the stars above mixed to form a pale yellow mist effect around the scenery. Closing his eyes, he laid his head on the pillow, enjoying the cool breeze sweeping through the window washing away the heat and humidity of the day.
He sighed, relaxed features changing into a frown as memories of his previous visit to this same place washed over him, or more specifically, memories of the man he had spent his time here with. Remembering being in the exact same position, with a dark haired, dark eyed Saiyajin being sprawled out next to him. Almost flawless, pale skin was still damp from the shower, while droplets of water dripped from the spikes of the mass of hair on his head, to the face below them.
His eyes slid open, confronting the now empty room. Vegeta snorted lightly, feeling vaguely annoyed at his need to constantly relive the memories surfacing in his mind. He was here to relax, not to relive the past.
Lifting himself up, the Saiyajin Prince slung his legs over the edge of the bed and climbed to his feet. Grabbing a nearby pair of jeans and a shirt, and then slipping on a pair of trainers, he walked out the door to pay a late evening visit to the town below.
He started down the dirt road, lightly kicking small stones along in front of him, his footsteps sounding out in the night air. Not noticing the dark figure leaning against one of the trees at the side of the house, he focused on the small town ahead, clearing his mind of all thoughts.
'We build our church above the street
We practice love between these sheets
The candy sweetness scent of you
It bathes my skin I'm stained in you'
Goku didn't move from his position, watching silently as his mate strolled off down the road, a single black silhouette against the golden glow of the town. Waiting until Vegeta had disappeared from his line of vision, he slowly walked over to the villa and let himself in.
He stalked quietly through the hallways, white plastered walls on either side of him giving way only to the occasional screen door, most of them left open, allowing him to snatch views of the almost unnaturally tidy rooms. So unlike when he had been here as well...
Goku made his way to the bedroom, taking a deep breath and inhaling the spicy scent that hung in the air. Stalking over to the bed, he sat himself down on the edge and ran his fingers over the thin white fabric. Both men had opted for the thin sheets instead of a quilt, the warm air and their own body's durability making the latter option pointless.
The Saiyajin let himself fall back onto the bed, promptly covering his eyes with an arm, the scent of Vegeta everywhere taunting his senses. The alluring smell convincing him to let his mind wander as his fingers danced over the sheets, memories welling up, bringing with them the emotions that had caused him to chase his mate down to this remote little town.
Removing his arm, he stared at the ceiling for a few moments before grudgingly pushing his body back into an upright position, staring at the window and the town beyond. Narrowing his eyes, he focused on the ki of Vegeta, the energy signature standing out like the moon in the night sky.
Taking one last breath of the musky scent that had claimed the room, Goku stood up and left. He picked up his pace as he made his way to the door and out into the night, following the same path that the Prince of Saiyajins had travelled down not long before.
'And all I have to do is hold you
There's a racing within my heart
I am barely
touching you'
Vegeta strolled along the quiet back streets of the town, idly kicking a small stone ahead of him, lost in his thoughts as he passed by the more populated, touristy areas. The dark, closed back streets offered him a sense of privacy in comparison to the crowds of the strip. A small smirk appeared on his face as he looked around.
Picturing the street in daylight, he noted the similarity to the street he and his mate had been walking down one day when they had come across a wedding celebration. The bride and groom at the forefront of what appeared to be a small parade, both humans smiling at anyone who appeared before turning back to each other.
They were followed by a large group of what Vegeta had assumed to be friends and family, old and young alike, laughing cheering and singing. Both Saiyajins strayed to the side of the street to let the crowd pass, the smaller of the two watching as his louder mate smiled as the passing people, bopping lightly to the music.
Eventually the street fell quiet again, and the ebony haired men moved back into the street to continue their walk.
"Hey `Geta? If we could ever get married, we would HAVE to have a wedding like that!" Goku stated, still smiling as he wrapped one arm around the smaller man.
"Kakarrot, it's a silly Earth ceremony, and we're Saiyajins. Why bother, exactly?"
"It'd be fun! But they don't let men get married anyway, so no need to worry," he replied, a slightly dejected tone entering his voice.
He eyed his mate for a moment, before mentally sighing and deciding on a reply.
"How about we tell everyone we're mated, go to that old pervert's house and throw a party, and then, upon getting stupidly drunk, march around that tiny island singing some sappy, pathetic love song?"
Not prepared for the next reaction, a small "oof" was all that was heard as Vegeta was pulled against his mate's broad, cotton covered chest.
"You'd do that for me?" Goku all but shouted, smile on his face having expanded to previously un-thought of proportions.
Glancing at the taller man's face for a moment, he decided upon not clarifying that the remark had been sarcastic and let himself be cuddled, wrapping his own arms around the broader body of the other Saiyajin.
"Yes, I'd do that for you, Kakarrot," he replied against the base of Goku's neck.
Vegeta blinked as his mind snapped back to the present. The warm, sunny day in his vision faded back into the cool, starlit night.
Glancing around, he snorted lightly to himself and then set off towards the strip, thinking that being around louder places might not be so bad.
'Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you
Insatiable'
Goku paused on the street for a moment, staring at the small café in front of him. He let his mind drift back to a time when only he and his mate knew about their relationship, not even the Gods suspected anything.
Both men had visited this same little café for a drink and a pause in their explorations of the town's nightlife, content to chat and watch the crowds mull by. After a small while, not long before they were about to set off again, some of the waiters had begun clearing tables and chairs out of the way, making a semi-large clearing in front of the building.
Vegeta and Goku had watched in silent interest, taking little notice of the remainder of their drinks as they watched the action, eyebrows rising slightly as several couples moved towards the space upon the appearance of two men. Both were dressed in suits, although the top few buttons on their shirts were open, ties missing, lending a more relaxed air to them. One carried a guitar, while the other followed behind him, both men making a little stage to the side of the café's door.
A few notes from the guitar floated through the air, soon accompanied by the soft voice of the singer. Vegeta was content to watch them, until a hand closed over his, tugging lightly. He looked up into Goku's face questioningly before he realized what the taller Saiyajin wanted.
"Kakarrot...there's a lot of things I am willing to do, dancing is not one of them," Vegeta stated as he was pulled up against his mates chest.
"Vegeta...you'll like this kind of dancing," Goku said quietly, letting his voice drop a few notches as he spoke into his mate's ear, dropping a kiss on the smaller man's neck as he finished.
"Show me what kind of dancing you mean and I'll make up my own mind about it."
Goku nodded and wrapped his arms around the smaller form, his hands travelling down to rest on his rear. Pulling Vegeta even closer to him, he began slowly moving his hips, drawing a small gasp from both men as small sparks ran through their bodies at the contact.
Resting his chin on the smaller man's head, the taller Saiyan smiled when he felt his lover respond with his own hips, hands sliding their way up and down his back, fingers occasionally pressing into the shirt he was wearing in a kneading motion. Tilting his head slightly, he closed his eyes as small, feather light kisses were dropped on his neck, causing a deep rumbling purr to begin vibrating in his throat.
He didn't know how long they had been dancing together before some familiar kis made their way into the pleasant fog that was currently clouding his mind. Blinking his eyes open, he glanced around slowly, refusing to lift his face from his mate's hair, his gaze finally settling on three familiar figures.
His eyes widened slightly as he saw the shocked faces of Krillen, Yamcha and Tien gawping at them from across the street.
"Vegeta! Krillen, Tien and Yamcha are here! What do we do?!" Goku whispered into the smaller man's hair.
"Ignore them Kakarrot, they will either make the first move when they stop gawping, or leave" he whispered back, laying a small kiss at the base of the broader man's neck.
Nodding, Goku closed his eyes once again and let himself drift off into the music and the musky scent of his mate, finally relaxing again when his friends left. He would be able to deal with them another time.
Goku blinked, eyes focusing back on the scene in front of him. The Earth raised Saiyajin shook his head slightly and took his eyes away from the café front, smiling to himself as he remembered how awkward his three friends had been afterwards. All three had been stuttering nervously until Krillen had confessed it all, quickly finishing his sentence by stating that if the two Saiyajins truly cared about each other then they had his blessing. Laughing out loud, Goku remembered the monk's later comment about preferring the company of Vegeta to that of Chichi.
Looking ahead, he followed the scent of his mate into the crowds, glancing around in his search for the smaller man.
'Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable'
Vegeta strolled along the cobbled pavement of the busier streets, the usual frown missing from his face, replaced instead by an almost dreamy look, body naturally dodging the smaller forms of children on their holidays and their window shopping parents. Music blared from the open bars and shops on the strip, the area surrounding them almost as bright as day, attracting all the local bug life. Unfortunately, the small black flies that frequented the area every night appeared to have taken a particular liking to the Saiyajin's scent.
Batting away any insects that came within a foot of his body, the Saiyajin soon took refuge in a nearby t-shirt shop, the cooler air inside providing a barrier between him and the insects. Glancing round, he started looking at the t-shirts on display and the many logos displayed in a large file on a nearby desk.
As he flicked through the pages, he smirked slightly at the various amusing logos that were displayed.
Turning the page, the smirk softened slightly when the words "I'm with stupid" along with an arrow, jumped out at him from the page. An instant image of his mate appeared in his mind's eye, the memory of the day the taller man had arrived at the Villa in a t-shirt similar to the ones sold in this shop, prodding at him.
The first thing he remembered that day was the sensation of something soft and wet lightly trailing over his stomach and chest, slipping haphazardly over his body as he struggled to wake. Eventually his eyes had opened to find a fully dressed, wide-awake Saiyajin kneeling at his bedside and kissing and licking his way along his body.
"Kakarrot, what are you doing?"
"Waking you up `Geta, I wanted to show you my new t-shirt! Went down into the town and got it this morning!"
Vegeta blinked a few times as he realised that either he had slept in very late or the other man had woken up incredibly early, the former option making more sense as he recalled the night before.
"What t-shirt?"
"This one!"
Goku climbed to his feet and put both his arms out to the side, letting the already semi-tight shirt cling to his muscles, proudly displaying the cartoon character on his shirt to the still sleepy Saiyajin on the bed.
"It's a rabbit, Kakarrot. Why on Earth did you, the strongest fighter in the universe, pick a rabbit for your t-shirt?"
"It's not any old rabbit Vegeta! It's Bugs Bunny! He's always eating carrots! Get it? Carrots...Kakarrot...?"
"Yes, I get it Kakarrot. I still don't know why you chose it though...a rabbit..."
"You're only crabby because you just woke up!" Sitting on the edge of the bed, Goku leant down and kissed the smaller man, silencing any protests or grumbles before they could start, and then promptly pulled away.
"Now I'll go make you a coffee while you wake up!"
With this last sentence, the younger Saiyajin almost bounced out of the room, leaving Vegeta staring into space for a moment.
"Nuugh!"
With a growl, the Saiyajin prince let himself fall back down to the bed and pulled the pillow out from under his head, instantly covering his face with it. He sensed another day with his hyperactive, incessantly happy mate. Joy.
Blinking, he turned his head and watched for a moment as a young man and woman were nervously trying to look through the book without disturbing his daydream. Shaking his head slightly, he moved away and charged back out into the night, growling at the flies as they reappeared to annoy him once again.
'The moonlight plays upon your skin
A kiss that lingers takes me in
I fall
asleep inside of you'
Goku strolled through the town, taking a deep breath as he passed another restaurant, the smell of cooked fish drifting out, taking his mind back to the beach to the south of the town. And back to the one and only night Vegeta had let himself get drunk, relaxing that much more since there were no other people he knew around to see him. Both Saiyajins had visited the beach on a whim, the alcohol making the usually serious Prince slightly giggly, a slight flush in his cheeks as they flew through the air.
Eventually they had found themselves on pure white shores, Vegeta immediately kicking off his shoes and leaping into the ice-cold water, his taller, slightly less intoxicated mate not far behind him. The full moon in the sky only increased the adrenaline rush through the bodies of both men, even thought their tails were missing, the natural borne satellite still affected their bodies.
Playing in the semi shallow water, Vegeta was the first to attack, launching himself at his mate and dunking his head under water, laughing the entire time, voice raising a few notches as Goku pulled his legs out from under him, dragging him under the surface as well. Their lips met in a quick kiss before they burst to the surface, grinning and laughing once again as they lunged and dodged each other as best they could in the waist deep water.
A few yells caught their attention after a few minutes, both men snapping their heads around to look down the beach, seeing the glow of a fire, the shouting coming from the large group of men and women that had arrived. From their position in the water, the Saiyajins watched for a few moments as figures danced and writhed against each other in the light and shadows cast by the flames of the fire.
"Want to go get dry Kakarrot?" Vegeta asked, not taking his eyes off the scene ahead of them.
"What do you mean?" Goku asked, slightly confused as to what his mate was hinting at.
"They have a fire, music and beer! Let's go!" With that, the Saiyajin Prince took hold of the younger Saiyajin's hand and dragged him out of the water and down the beach towards the party.
Reaching the large group of people, both men immediately made their way towards the drinks table, watching as other people from the other end of the beach or from the street joined the party.
Gulping one of the small bottles down in one go, Vegeta rested it back on the table before jogging over to the group of people dancing near the fire, throwing his arms in the air and moving his body around to the beat of the music. The mix of moonlight and firelight danced over his skin and hair, alternating his natural red highlights with pale blue highlights. Staring, Goku forgot about his drink and continued to watch mesmerized as the smaller man lost himself in the music, the alcohol having stripped away the inhibitions that his pride usually created.
For a split second, their eyes met as Vegeta turned, Goku's own eyes wide in wonder, mind vaguely wondering if he'd ever get the chance to see something like this again.
Sighing, he continued to walk down the street, letting that last picture of his mate hang in his mind, the emotions of that night following with it.
'There are no words
There's only truth
Breathe in Breathe out
There is no
sound'
When he reached the bottom end of town, Vegeta glanced around and stalked off down a random road, sifting through memories of his last trip to this place. Smiling slightly as he could hear the innocent questioning of his mate.
"'Geta? What's a vineyard? Why are we going to a place where they grow vines?"
"Kakarrot, you've been here longer than I have, you should KNOW. A vineyard is a place where they grow the grapes that make the wine a lot of people drink, the one we're going to visit also has a wine tasting room, you can try all the different wines for free."
"Really? Wow, but why do they do that?"
"So they can get you drunk enough to sell you an expensive bottle or two."
"Oooh."
Both men had fallen into a comfortable silence as they walked down the road towards the vineyard, the gardens already in sight, looking as if it was divided into rows by large green walls. Seeing the building beyond it, the two men walked straight into the gardens rather than the path, heading down one of the tunnels made by the growing vines, the sunlight shining through in places, creating a dappled effect on the ground and the two Saiyajins who passed through.
Strolling towards the building at the other side of the gardens, Vegeta hadn't been prepared when his mate had grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him into a kiss, lips stroking again his own before the taller man's tongue slipped out, running along the smaller man's lower lip. Responding instantly, the Vegeta deepened the kiss, moving his hands up to the mass of dark spiky hair on his mate's head, moaning softly as he felt two larger hands run down his sides, sliding round his back and finally coming to a rest on his rear.
"Ka...ka...rrot.... there's...a...reason...we're...here...." Vegeta gasped between each kiss.
"That.... can.... wait....'Geta...."
A moan was his only answer as both men lowered themselves to the ground, the grass providing comfortable bedding for Vegeta as he ended up on his back with his larger mate sprawled on top of him, resting himself between the Prince's thighs. Grinding his hips against his mate's, the smaller man smirked inwardly as the moans from Goku gradually began increasing in volume, the occasional small shout escaping between kisses.
Neither Saiyajin noticed the three men running up behind them, until the loud shouts and curses rang through the air, shocking the lovers from their little world and back into the vineyard. Both men were climbing to their feet when on of the tanned humans pulled a gun from his coat, waving it in the air.
Laughing, Goku and Vegeta ran back down the tunnel, and took off into the air once they were clear of the vine, grinning at each other as they flew back off towards their villa, their trip for the day cancelled.
Smiling at the memory, Vegeta abruptly turned around and began to walk back down the way he came, following the path back to the strip to make his journey back their home, away from everything that had kept them apart.
'We move together up and down
We levitate, our bodies soar
Our feet don't even
touch the floor
But nobody knows you like I do
Cos the world they don't
understand
That I grow stronger in your hands'
When he left the busy area of the strip, Goku stepped into quieter backstreets streets, the music from the bars becoming a soft background noise, and the lighting softer, letting the moonlight filter through onto the streets. Following a slight slope down a road, he followed the familiar landmarks of various statues, shops and hotels, finally coming to the top of a large set of steps, typically a hangout for any students during the day, but almost silent at night.
Looking ahead, he gazed at the reflection of the moon in the water below, ornate carvings of angels guarding over the pool, the fresh water spilling from the wall behind it, the quiet splash disturbing the quiet. Strolling down the steps, Goku made his way over to the small wall surrounding the pool and sat himself down, looking into the water and studying the small pinpoints of silver light where the coins people had thrown in reflected the moonlight.
Vaguely wondering if his coin was still in the water, the Earth raised Saiyajin turned his eyes to the moon, having a strong sense of déjà vu flow over him, the sensation that if he turned his head, his mate would be sat beside him, looking longingly at the same silver globe in the sky. Continuing to gaze at the sky, he moved his hand outwards to the side, pretending for a moment that his fingers were covering the smaller hand of Vegeta, trying desperately to drown himself in the past.
Just over a year previous, the two Saiyajins had visited this exact same spot on one of their night time wanderings. Both men had been strolling in companionable silence, following the public footpaths that were usually packed during the day, only to become completely desolate by the time the sun had set for a few hours.
"It's a pity we don't have our tails anymore," Vegeta mumbled to himself.
"What for? If we had them we wouldn't be able to go out on nights like this. And if we did we'd wreck this town," Goku replied quietly, joining the smaller man in staring at the moon.
"Well Kakarrot, do you remember how much your tail hurt when it was grabbed?"
Goku nodded.
"Can you think of another part of your anatomy that would hurt if someone were to grab it carelessly?"
Wincing, the taller man turned to look at his mate, confusion written all over his face.
"Now think about last night. Imagine having that done to your tail."
A thoughtful expression overtook his face while he thought about the statement Vegeta had just made, a red blush spreading itself over his cheeks as all the possibilities flooded through his mind once he caught on.
"I see your point." Goku buried a hand in the hair at the back of his head, laughing quietly and ignoring the tingling that had started in his groin.
The pool had jumped into view suddenly, as the path in front of them had given away to the steps, surprising both men for an instant. After a pause, Goku had set off down the steps and jogged to the side of the fountain, instantly digging around in his pocket for some coins.
"Kakarrot. What are you doing?" asked Vegeta as he made his way down the steps in a more dignified manner.
"It's a wishing fountain `Geta! You throw in a coin and make a wish," finishing his sentence, the taller man closed his eyes for a moment and then flipped the coin into the water, a small splash sounding out as it broke the surface.
"Hn. If you want a wish, why not find the dragonballs?"
"That's no fun Vegeta, this is.... I don't know...just different..."
Shaking his head slightly, he sat himself on the wall next to the pool, dipping his fingers into the cool water, creating ripples and sending the reflection of the moon into a flurry of movement.
Goku soon sat himself down near the smaller man, arm stretching out to brush his fingers over those of the smaller man, staring at the reflection of the moon in the water.
Eventually, as always, his eyes refocused on his surroundings as his mind returned to the present.
'We never sleep we're always holdin' hands
Kissin' for hours talkin' makin' plans
I feel like a better man
Just being in the same room'
When he reached the villa, Vegeta removed his trainers at the door and stalked off down the hall, bare feet making almost no noise on the cool tiled floor. Pausing at his bedroom door, he leant his head against the doorframe while he pondered over the thought of getting a bath or climbing straight into bed. Closing his eyes, he sighed as another memory drifted through his mind.
Stretching out between the cool sheets in his bed, Vegeta let a content smile pass over his lips as a breeze blew through the window, leaving the room at just the right temperature. Opening his eyes and glancing towards the door, where the sounds of running water were drifting through, the Saiyajin prince stretched each of his limbs towards each corner of the bed, enjoying having the large bed to himself, if only for a short while.
Unfortunately, he was so caught up in his relaxation that he didn't notice the sudden silence as the water was turned off, nor the wet figure that appeared in the doorway.
"YAAAH!!"
Vegeta's eyes snapped open as a wet Goku dived at the bed, tackling the smaller man on his landing and instantly pinning him to the bed. With a yell of annoyance, he pushed his dripping mate up, lightly kicking at him as soon as his legs were free.
The Earth raised Saiyajin threw himself at his Prince's stomach, knocking the smaller man flat. As both men continued to wrestle, neither one noticed as the sheets on the bed became more and more tangled around their bodies.
Eventually, both men came to a stop; Goku having ended up on his stomach while Vegeta was left straddling his thighs, leaving them in a more than compromising position.
"What's the prize for winning then `Geta?" the taller man asked, a less than innocent look on his face as he watched the older man out of the corner of his eye.
"I get to be seme that's what," he replied, a feral expression taking over his face.
"Well, you have to get out of those boxers first..." Goku stated, a small smirk creeping over his features.
Smirking back at the younger man, Vegeta moved to push himself up, frowning in confusion as his mate's hips were raised as well. Looking behind him as best he could, his eyes widened as he realized the tangled sheets from their match had wrapped around the two Saiyajins, binding them together at the hips with no way to undo it in sight.
Small shakes of the bed caused him to look back at the taller man on the bed, the broad back lifting in irregular jerks as Goku tried to keep from laughing out loud at Vegeta's predicament.
Moving his hands down to his mate's sides, he immediately dug his fingers into the skin, releasing it a second later and moving further down, grinning as the suppressed chuckles became outright laughter. Goku moved his arms around to try and protect his sides, as he squirmed in an attempt to get away from the smaller man. Gasping for breath in-between laughs he pushed his ki up, flaring into Supersaiyajin and effectively disintegrating the fine material of the bed sheets and his mate's boxers.
"Well Kakarrot, you've solved one problem for me..."
Opening his eyes and staring at the empty room, Vegeta stalked off down the hallways and into the bathroom, turning the water on and letting the room fill with steam, the scent of the bath foam spreading throughout the room as he poured it into the bubbling water under the tap.
'We never sleep
there's just so much to do
So much to say
Can't close my eyes
when I'm with you
Insatiable the way I'm loving you'
Goku watched sadly as his mate flopped himself down in front of the vanity table that held a few memories for both men, walking slowly across the room, he paused when he was stood next to the smaller man's shoulder. Darkness covered the room like a thin sheet, the soft white glow from the moon and stars that shining through the large window highlighting the few items in the room.
With a loud sigh, Vegeta stared into the mirror, his gaze focusing upon himself with a glare, anger welling up inside of him, the emotion making it ways into Goku's awareness, his connection with the other man refusing to be broken, keeping the souls of both men intertwined with each other.
Placing his hand on the prince's shoulder, the Earth raised Saiyajin sighed softly when his mate didn't respond. Looking sadly into the mirror image of Vegeta he began singing softly under his breath in an attempt to calm the other man's turbulent emotions that had been plaguing him the entire night.
"Turn the lights down low, take it off let me show, my love for you insatiable..."
Vegeta continued to stare into the mirror, jaw clenched.
"Turn me on, never stop, wanna taste every drop, my love for you insatiable..."
Leaning down until his mouth was near his mate's ear, Goku let his voice rise in volume, placing his free hand on the other tense shoulder of the smaller man.
The taller man smiled slightly as Vegeta tilted his head to the side, baring his neck to him, frown softening, until a slight movement in the mirror caught his eye. Eyes widening, his lips parted slightly as the image of his orange clad mate appeared in the mirror, eyes closed as he continued to sing, voice flowing in the quietness of the room.
"When I look in your eyes, insatiable, the way I'm loving you..."
Vegeta swiftly looked to the side, and then back at the mirror again, pressing his palm up against the glass as the ghostly image of his mate receded, leaving the room in silence once again.
Glaring at the photo on the desk, he looked over the body of the taller man, the usual orange gi adorning his body, but in place of the usual idiot grin, a small smile on his face as he wrapped his arm around Vegeta. The picture had been taken in the town by a local on their first visit, none of the other fighters had known where they were, leaving both men free to drop their masks.
"And then he LEFT!"
Smashing his fists into the vanity, a loud crack was heard before the table itself collapsed to the ground, the mirror falling and shattering against the tile floor. Flopping back in the chair, he brought a hand up to his face, jaws clenching again until a cool breeze stroked its way along his jaw.
"I never left, Vegeta."
The end!
